Serdang, Seri Kembangan

Serdang, Seri Kembangan is a city in Petaling district, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Seri Kembangan area includes area such as Balakong, Taman Lestari Perdana, Taman Serdang Raya which is located near to the Puncak Jalil, Bandar Putra Permai, Equine Park and Taman Lestari Putra. Residential area here is densely populated as a result of migration of people from the Klang Valley. Serdang can be divided into Serdang Lama and Serdang Baru. Serdang is located in the southern part of Kuala Lumpur, approximately 15 miles via Lebuhraya Sungai Besi. Serdang Lama is located adjacent to the eastern part and Balakong in Seri Kembangan (Serdang Baru) in the northern part.

How to get there

Serdang is located near Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Bangi, Kajang, Cheras and Petaling Jaya thanks to all the highway that connects to these cities . These highway are Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP), Kesas Highway, Kuala-Lumpur Seremban Highway, Bukit Jalil Highway, Maju Expressway (MEX), Sungai Besi Highway (Besraya Highway) and the Federal Highway. Serdang also situated along the North-South Highway, between Kuala Lumpur and Bangi. In addition, there is also a railway line used by the KTM Komuter which stops at Serdang KTM Station. Serdang station can be connected to KL Sentral Station via Mid Valley station. Besides KTM Komuter, KL Central houses transport services such as Express Rail Link (ERL), KLIA Express and KLIA Transit, KTM Intercity and RapidKL Rail.

Seri Kembangan as a Business and Education Center

There are lots of shopping complexes in Seri Kembangan such as Mines Shopping Fair, Jusco Equine Park, Seri Kembangan Giant and South City Plaza. In addition, Seri Kembangan has become an education center with the presence of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Alice Smith International School. Among other educational center, located near Seri Kembangan are TPM College, APPIT College, UCTI, Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), Bukit Jalil Sports School.

Calvary Convention Centre

Calvary Convention Centre (CCC) is the largest church in Malaysia and also in Asia which is located in Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Club. CCC proclaimed to be worth RM100 million on top of land cost about RM35 million. The church auditorium can accommodate up to 5 thousand people at one time. The six storey church also serve as an international, regional and national convention center for holistic activities, event, seminar and concert as well as the provision of educational and vocational training.
